Great ribs, garlic cheese toast, onion rings. Not rushed by service. I did not make a reservation but got sat immediately Sunday at 4:30 PM. I sat in the "cocktail" area, which had a dance floor and a stage for live music, and mirrored balls hanging from the ceiling. But there was no performance while I was there.
Wow!!! I don't know where to begin. This was honestly the best smokehouse experience I have had thus far! My goodness, my New York Steak was amazing! Perfectly grilled, perfect amount of seasoning, tender and juicy! Everything was amazing here...from the appetizers, to the side dishes, the steak entrees and my my the dessert! Oh and our waiter was attentive and kind! Can't wait to go back!
This restaurant is an iconic, do-not-miss kind of place. Like Musso and Frank Grill, the servers have worked here for their entire careers, 30 years, and the atmosphere and food have stayed top-notch and consistent. This review is about the Champagne Sunday Brunch. It’s buffet-style with champagne or mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice. The champagne is nonstop. The service is spectacular and friendly. My photos do not capture all that their Sunday brunch has to offer. But they have a carving station, omelette station, made-to-order pasta station, and a crepe and waffle station (with a ton of topping options). The self-serve areas include incredible fresh salads, roasted-chilled veggies, all types of fresh fruit (piles of dragon fruit!, pineapple, blueberries, grapes, watermelon, and more). The carving station had fresh roasted turkey, honey baked ham, and prime rib with all the trimmings (stuffing for the turkey, mashed potatoes, au jus, horse radish). Their seafood area has seared ahi tuna, heaps of (snow) crab legs, cold smoked salmon, lox (bagels, cream cheese, lemons, capers, tomatoes, onion), fresh shrimp, fried butterflied shrimp, aguachile shrimp, ceviche, fresh oysters, mussels, crab salad, tuna salad, salmon cakes (like crab cakes), and we’ve also seen sushi before on busier days but did not see any today despite seeing pickled ginger, soy sauce and wasabi on the buffet. Their hot section has bbq ribs, steamed veggies, a Mexican section with incredible tasting chile rellenos, refried beans, Mexican rice, tortillas, chile verde, fresh guacamole and salsa. They also have eggs Benedict, fried chicken, sausage links and of course an endless tray of their famous garlic bread. The dessert section has everything from bread pudding, apple pie crumble, cheesecake, churros and cookies, creme brulee, chocolate cake and brownies, a chocolate fountain to dip eclairs, cream puffs, marshmallows, or fresh fruit, both chocolate and vanilla mousse, and many other types of desserts. Valet is 6.50, unless you can find (very limited) street parking.
I liked it! It's a short walk from Warner bros studio. This is the restaurant is scenes of lala land were filmed. Jim and Pam's from the office engagement was also here and many more. The food was good! The service was great! They have white tablecloths and waiters were all in black. The wedge salad was great. I tried the burgers ribs and pulled pork. Pulled pork was very good. The shoestring fries were just fries and not great. The ambiance was perfect with all the wonderful orchid decorations.
Classic. Loved the food. Place named Smokehouse you have to try the, ribs, tritip, and chicken. Flavor spot on. Slight downside the leg thigh part was Cornish Game Hen size. Let's talk sides! Corn on the cob was excellent. Good crunchy even at 9:30 pm. . Mixed veggies, also done very well. Classic prime rib presentation.
As cool as it gets. Old school Hollywood at its best. You can make movie deals over a fantastic martini, while munching on insane garlic bread and sublime steaks. Red leather booths, deep wood and brass... Excellent service. Awesome every time.
Great service. The food was good! The sweet potato was even better! Nice and sweet with brown sugar and butter! If you like candy yams then you'll love the sweet potato. The vegetables were seasoned perfect
Best bang for your buck steakhouse we’ve been to in L.A. the prices are very good and the prime rib was delicious. The environment had a buca de Bepo feel. I would definitely come back. Earlier this week we went to a much more expensive steakhouse that was half this enjoyable.
